Currently Martin is Managing Principal at Nex Rubica Capital where he assists Public and Private sector institutions in Africa. He drives the firms Deal Pipeline with particular focus on Origination and Structuring of transactions cutting across Renewable Power, Hotels & Real Estate, Water & Waste, Oil & Gas, Logistics and Transport.
He has advised various Pan African Banking BoD’s on Investment Banking, Risk Management and Banking expansion across Francophone and Anglophone Africa – some of which include UBA, Zenith Bank, ClB Egypt and ICB Malaysia. One of his notable contributions to Nigerian Financial Services sector was his lead role in negotiating reserve management mandates between with Central Bank of Nigeria, Alliance and Bernstein and Henderson Global Investors.
Prior to this he was Group Vice President for Deutsche Bank’s Derivatives and Fixed Income Global Markets team, where he oversaw the analysis and signoff of all Liquid Credit, High Yield, OTC, Distressed Debt and Global Corporate Finance. Prior to this he was at ING Barings where he moved from the Regulatory function of Deputy Global Risk Controller to the Front office role of Regional Trading Risk Manager in charge of Money Markets, Interest Rate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange for the EMEA region.
He is also a Senior Advisor to Global Wealth Management LLC a $600 Million (AUM) US based Exchange Traded Fund & Multi Asset Portfolio Manager.
