Bio
Chido Munyati is the Director and Head of Africa at the World Economic Forum, responsible for shaping and leading the regional agenda for Africa. Previously, Chido practiced law at Froriep, a prominent Swiss law firm, and served at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
In 2017, Chido was selected as one of nineteen emerging global leaders for the World Economic Forum’s prestigious Global Leadership Fellows (GLF) program, a rigorous three-year initiative designed to equip fellows with skills, frameworks, and experiences necessary to drive systemic change through public-private cooperation.
In 2023, Chido was honored as one of the “Top 100 Under 40 Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD),” recognizing his impactful contributions and leadership.
Chido is a qualified attorney admitted to practice in New York’s 3rd Judicial District. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was awarded a full-tuition merit academic scholarship.
