Bio
Goitse Konopi is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Suppple Group Plc, the company behind Predikt, a regulated prediction market operating with licensed partners across Africa. Through Suppple Group, he is building infrastructure for a new class of regulated financial markets in Africa.
He began his career in the Presidency of South Africa, contributing to national and international policy initiatives including the National Planning Commission and the World Bank’s Doing Business Review Panel. This experience gave him an early grounding in governance, regulatory design, and large-scale public-sector reform.
He later co-founded GovChat, which became Africa’s largest civic engagement platform, reaching over 13.5 million users. The platform played a pivotal role in enabling the South African government to distribute over $3.8 billion in Social Relief of Distress grants, alongside digitising healthcare testing results and other essential public services at scale.
He went on to found Suppple Group Plc. Its flagship platform, Predikt, provides African consumers and institutions with structured, compliant access to prediction markets through a network of licensed partners across the continent, including partnerships with licensed operators such as Ansino, enabling compliant market access within regulated gaming environments. The platform’s regulatory-first approach distinguishes it in a sector where many global competitors operate without formal oversight, positioning it among the early regulated entrants in this category in Africa.
Goitse’s work sits at the intersection of technology, capital markets, and public policy, with a focus on building regulated financial systems for emerging markets. He brings a practitioner’s perspective shaped by both government experience and scaling high-impact technology platforms across Africa.
