Bio

Olu Oyinsan is a leading seed-stage investor and Managing Partner at Oui Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm backing high-growth technology startups in frontier markets. With a deep understanding of emerging market dynamics and a passion for founder-first investing, Olu has played a crucial role in funding and scaling some of Africa’s most promising tech companies.

Since launching Oui Capital, Olu has led investments in over 20 startups across fintech, logistics, mobility, and edtech—many of which have gone on to raise follow-on funding from top-tier global investors like Target Global, Partech, and Y Combinator. Under his leadership, Oui Capital’s portfolio companies have collectively raised over $200 million, creating thousands of jobs and expanding market access for millions of underserved consumers in Africa.

Before founding Oui Capital, Olu built a diverse career in banking, consulting, and venture finance. He started his journey at Guaranty Trust Bank, where he gained hands-on experience in commercial banking. He later worked as a TEI Consultant at Forrester, advising some of the world’s largest technology companies on investment strategies and growth opportunities. Olu then joined Silicon Valley Bank’s early-stage practice, where he supported high-growth startups across the U.S. East Coast, developing a keen eye for scaling businesses and navigating venture ecosystems.

A strong advocate for Africa’s tech revolution, Olu frequently speaks at global conferences on venture capital, startup funding, and building sustainable businesses in emerging markets. He holds an MBA from Hult International Business School, Boston, with a focus on Finance and Strategy.

Beyond venture capital, Olu is passionate about entrepreneurial mentorship and ecosystem development, actively working to bridge the funding gap for African startups and position them for global success.
