Alex Oppong is responsible for infrastructure and natural resources research coverage on the Private Markets Research team at BlackRock. His research covers global fundraising, deal-making and performance trends across energy and utilities, transport, and digital infrastructure. With 10 years’ experience in financial services, Alex previously worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Bank of America, covering global metals, mining, and steel. His experience also includes roles in Investor Relations at Intertek Group, positions in Citigroup’s Sovereign Credit Underwriting and Corporate Banking divisions, and a graduate traineeship in Portfolio Risk at the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt. Alex holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Cambridge. Born in Ghana, grew up in Italy and been in the UK since 2008.
