Bio
Gabriel Okello is a leading exposure scientist working at the intersection of climate change, air pollution, health, and sustainable development in rapidly urbanising cities. With over a decade of experience, Gabriel collaborates with policymakers, businesses, communities and researchers to co-design solutions grounded in lived experience and local data. He is particularly committed to equipping and connecting young people with the skills, tools, and pathways to shape cleaner, healthier, and climate-resilient cities.
Gabriel’s approach is participatory and deeply collaborative, combining mixed-methods research, citizen science, and cross-sector partnerships to develop strategies that are both scientifically robust and practically implementable. He currently works with partners across Africa, the UK, Europe, Asia, and the United States, building bridges between research and policy and strengthening ecosystems for coordinated, system-level urban action.
